You can add your KVAR style stainless heat shields for added protection, and you can use your factory cleaning rod. 13 MLOK as an attachment system was tested by USASOC a few years back and found to be better than both picatinny and Keymod particularly in shearing force tests. It mounts similarly to the factory handguards, you will need a factory style front handguard retainer. I think it and the LaRure are by a good margin the toughest MLOK rails available.
